In 2007, the laws in Ontario were changed enabling Ontario Residents easier access to dental hygiene services. With this change, Registered Dental Hygienists can now provide dental hygiene services in alternate settings. Dental Hygienists can open their own dental hygiene offices and also offer mobile dental hygiene services to clients.​
