Smiles4Miles is owned and operated by Sasha McKean who is both an Independent Registered Dental Hygienist and an Independent Professional Educator on behalf of Waterpik Inc.

Sasha provides first-rate, accessible dental hygiene care for her clients in an alternative and affordable way.  We feel it's imperative to provide these services to dependent adults, especially those in assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing communities.  By providing ample time, Sasha ensures that clients receive the caliber of care that they need and deserve.

Sasha's Certifications

Sasha has been employed in a diverse number of dental positions over the last 31 years, commencing her career as a dental assistant at the age of 16. She earned her associate degree in Dental Hygiene in 1999 from Fanshawe College, and her bachelor’s degree in Oral Health-Care Promotion in 2018. Currently Sasha is enrolled in The Geriatric Certificate Program with the goal of improving our aging population’s quality of care. These additional courses will help complement her existing dental experience, education, and qualifications.

To maintain their license to practice, hygienists must adhere to strict guidelines and rules as outlined by the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.  They must also participate in annual continuing education programs as well as hold a current CPR certification.
